DEPOWA President Acknowledges 6 Division's Achievements during Courtesy Visit

Mrs. Oghogho Gwabin Musa, President of the Defence and Police Officers Wives Association (DEPOWA), expressed gratitude during her visit to Major General Jamal Abdussalam, the General Officer Commanding (GOC) of 6 Division. 

The visit aimed to appreciate the division's accomplishments in the Niger Delta and seek support for DEPOWA's initiatives, fostering a strong support system for military spouses. Mrs. Musa highlighted DEPOWA's evolution into an organization committed to empowering women in the military community, contributing to societal growth. 

Major General Abdussalam welcomed DEPOWA's plan to distribute palliatives to widows of fallen heroes and emphasized the importance of their involvement in sensitization against various issues among barracks youths. 

The GOC pledged the division's support for DEPOWA's humanitarian efforts, emphasizing the honorable impact on community development. 

The visit featured souvenirs exchange, group photographs, and tree planting in alignment with 6 Division's biodiversity initiative.
